Abstract Biodegradable metals have received limited attention for application in transdermal drug delivery, although metallic microneedles (MNs) and iontophoresis been thoroughly researched this purpose. Here, we present Mg as a salient candidate an MN electrode. Its properties enable the of voltage to enhance diffusion charged molecules, while hydrogen gas generated during corrosion prevents its electrodes. The electrode was fabricated using nanosecond laser, amount were measured with applied potential iontophoresis.
